Weight-loss observation  
Given regular exercise and a relatively balanced and healthy diet, I have recently observed that the single activity that really correlates with my weight dropping (rather than staying still) is going to bed before 11pm.

Must Do Better At Sleep for so many reasons. This is just one more.

Productivity spoons  
... have been in short supply this week, outside work. At work I've been feeling fairly effective. Everything else feels like I've done the bare minimum required: minimal housework, the 43 folders have not been opened, I am only just catching up on some important email, the pc has been entirely off for a couple of days etc etc.

What have I managed?
* to walk every day
* hosting L on Tuesday
* hosting Mum on Wednesday (apart from burning the bottom of the veg curry ... there was plenty of unburned curry thankfully)
* kept accounts up to date
* laundry mountain under control
* sorted out ballet class

Perhaps not that bad after all. Some weeks I can't see the ticked-off items for the endless list of undone tasks.
