Lambing at Wimpole Hall yesterday with James and Lisa and Patrick and L. We didn't see any actual lambs, but lots of cute newborns. Also HUGE COWS and a pile of piglets. Charles seemed interested but more in a "wow, new place" way than "wow, lambs" way. Maybe next year he'll get more out of it. Lots and lots of little children around. Charles was more definitely keen on the playground and the 'adventure woodland'.

Slightly spoiled because I got home and realised I'd foolishly left my wallet in the cafe. This morning I trekked out there again, and managed to confirm that the cafe manager had found it, and put in a locked office that no-one will be in until tomorrow. So no doubt I will be out there again tomorrow afternoon, after Charles's music group. At least I don't have to cancel all my cards, which is a relief.

Sleep has been dodgy all week, with Charles waking up reliably at 4am and wailing, and then not settling back to sleep. Last night was particularly catastrophic so I have been somewhat zombiefied all day - driving was much harder work than usual and I was glad when it was over. We had Carlton Sunday Lunch (mmm, lamb) and I managed to nap afterwards for an hour or so, and I'm shortly off to bed in an attempt to catch up some more.
