When you walk in your front door, which room do you enter?

The hallway with coat rack, shoe rack, doors opening off to rooms and stairs rising to the first floor.

Do you have a dishwasher?

Oh yes! Saving water and effort and interhousemate carping.

Is your living room carpeted or does it have hardwood floors?

Carpeted. One day I will get rid of the carpets and have some kind of smooth floor. Not this year and probably not next year either.

Do you keep your kitchen knives on the counter or in a drawer?

In a metal pot on the windowledge.

House, apartment, duplex or trailer?

Detached house.

How many bedrooms is it?

Four.

Gas stove or electric?

Gas.

Do you have a yard?

Somewhere to park a car in front, as well as a lot of scraggly weeds, and a funny-shaped garden at the back. All needs a lot of attention this winter/spring so we can let Charles run riot come summertime.

What size TV is in the living room?

Small. 15 or 16 inches I think.

Are your plates in the same cupboard as your cups?

Most of the plates are in a wall-mounted rack. The cups and glasses live in a cupboard under the hob.

Is there a coffee maker sitting on your kitchen counter?

No, but there is a breadmaker!

What room is your computer in?

The joint study which is obviously meant to be a dining room. Doubles as a spare room.

Are there pictures hanging in your living room?

A painting of fanf's boarding school.

Are there any themes found in your home?

Not deliberately but you might spot "IKEA", "IVAR" and "books".

What kind of laundry detergent do you use?

Ecover.

Do you use dryer sheets?

No dryer. No room and no wish to waste the energy running one.

Do you have any curtains in your home?

The bedrooms, the study and the living room.

What color is your fridge?

White.

Is your house clean?

Nowhere near as clean as I'd like but not currently dirty enough to be a major health hazard.

What room is the most neglected?

The junk room probably - I mostly dump things in there and very occasionally take them out again. The main bathroom gets almost none of my attention as we hardly ever use it, so I usually leave it to the lodgers to stop it getting icky (this does not always work).

Are the dishes in your sink/dishwasher clean or dirty?

Don't know. I suspect dirty as Tony emptied it just after lunch.

How long have you lived in your home?

Nearly five years now.

Where did you live before?

A series of shared households.

Do you have one of those fluffy toilet lid covers on your toilet?

No. One more thing to clean!

Do you have a scale anywhere in your house?

Bathroom scales in both upstairs bathrooms. Mine (in the en suite) is more accurate.

How many mirrors are in your house?

1 big one and 1 shaving one in the main bathroom; 1 big one in the en suite; 1 in the downstairs loo (I think); shaving mirror in the study (left over from it being Keith's bedroom) and a 3/4 length one in the upstairs hallway, usually obscured by washing.

Shelves with my day-to-day organisational stuff on: ring binders, 43 folders, boxes of Important Documents. Etc. The ceiling.

Do you have a garage?

Yes, but it is rented out to Keith.
